Mr. Holcomb has over 30 years of extensive global experience as a law enforcement and intelligence officer. He served for 23 years as an FBI Special Agent; 8 years as a Strategic Planner with the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC); and 4 years as a state Homeland Security Advisor. In addition to investigating Soviet espionage, major drug trafficking organizations, organized crime syndicates, and National Security matters, he served as the Commander of the FBI New York SWAT Team.
Subsequent to the 9-11 terror attacks, Mr. Holcomb was charged to create a new counterterrorism unit – FBI Fly Away/Rapid Deployment Team. He also served as Section Chief of the FBI’s Operational Response Section, the FBI’s Military Liaison/Detainee Unit and the National Joint Terrorism Task Force (NJTTF).
After retiring from the FBI, he assumed a position as Strategic Planner with the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). While serving as a Strategic Planner and ‘Red Cell’ member, he had a principal role in providing guidance to the U.S. Government on counterterrorism issues, including countering violent extremism and conducting in depth analysis of counterterrorism preparedness on all levels of government. and had a leading role in the creation of the Joint Counterterrorism Awareness Workshop Series (JCTAWS).
Mr. Holcomb holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and practiced corporate and international law for seven years. Mr. Holcomb is the Managing Principal of 1st Watch Global.
